How do I pick a plan that suits me? 

There is no right or wrong when it comes to selecting a plan. it all depends on what you want to strive for. The plan sets what type of training you'll ride. For example, a  hilly sportive plan will focus on helping you get the most out of the hills compared to excel in the bunch which will concentrate on your 3 to 5 min power to help you keep up with the bunch or even ride off the front (when you need to)

How long do I need to train for?

The minimum program duration is four weeks. However, if you want to start to notice improvements, it may take a little longer. Cycling is a sport where it rewards the consistent rider. You can't shortcut hard work.
